MUSICQUE DE JOYE is a permanently constituted ensemble consisting of five musicians, devoted particularly to the re-establishment of the cornett and the sackbut through the music which they used to play and the places in which they used to be heard.

In combination with a vocal ensemble, MUSICQUE DE JOYE fosters an enrichment of the sacred and profane repertoires of the period from the Renaissance to the early Baroque, restoring to these works their true colours.

Other instruments may be used as well, such as recorders, viola da gamba, violin, bassoon, organ and harpsichord...

MUSICQUE DE JOYE gives regular concerts in churches and châteaux in the Centre region of France, and is often called upon to perform in other parts of France as well as in other countries.

It offers a welcome opportunity to rediscover the music of the XVIth and XVIIth centuries as performed on the sackbut and the cornett.
